Duane Sutter

Duane Sutter was the eldest of six Sutter brothers who played in the NHL, all from the small farming community of Viking, Alberta. A gritty winger who played physical, responsible hockey, he was part of all four Cup-winning teams. His brother Brent joined the Islanders later in the dynasty. Duane exemplified the blue-collar work ethic that made the Islanders so difficult to play against.
