Paul Boutilier was a young defenseman who earned his Cup ring as a rookie contributor to the 1983 championship team. A right-handed defenseman with offensive instincts, he was part of the Islanders' organizational depth that allowed them to absorb the rigors of a fourth consecutive playoff run. His one Cup ring came in his first full NHL season.
